Meet the Team!
The Fix Is In is a participant in the ASPCA's National Spay/Neuter Project (NSNP). Through this program launched a MASH-style High Quality/High Volume affordable spay/neuter clinic. Our clinic team is made up of a state licensed veterinarian, a certified veterinary technician, a veterinary assistant and a clinic manager.
In July 2012 our clinic team spent one week in New York City working with the ASPCA's NSNP trainers. Then the trainers came to Wisconsin for 10 days and worked with our team here at our various clinic sites. The goal of training was to teach our team how to effectively and efficiently provide high quality care in a high volume spay/neuter clinic.
Our mission is provide high quality, affordable spay and neuter services for individuals and families in our service area.
Our vision is to help reduce the number of homeless pets in northern Wisconsin.
From January 2010 to May 2012, The Fix Is In offered low-cost spay/neuter services at Spay Days which were staffed entirely by volunteers -- the vets and clinic staff all kindly donated their time and skills. Services at these events were restricted to income-qualified families. Also during this time, The Fix Is In partnered with Shelter From the Storm's Spay Me! Clinic in Sun Prairie. Spay Me! drove their transport van to Rhinelander and picked up pets for surgery. Pets spent two nights at the clinic before returning home after surgery. This service was available to anyone. We are proud to report that more than 1,200 cats and dogs were spayed or neutered through these low-cost options and we are grateful to the many people who helped make these services available.
